In 2021, the artist started to work on her new and revolutionary “Old Sheet” series. 

The essence of this series was to work with only one material - fabric taken from old sheets. 

The main principle of this series is the discovery and disclosure of only one media - fabric - one ordinary old sheet.

Artist’s task was to study and analyze the properties of the fabric, the way of its transformation, combination with other media, to obtain a new “art product” as a result. Tatiana wanted to show how one simple material can be endlessly used, what new forms can be given to it and what content can be put into it.

The results of the work impressed the artist every time and inspired to new experiments. These new artworks were no longer paintings in their traditional way - they were voluminous and looked like something in between a painting and a sculpture, or rather, a combination of these two. We can still call this technique mixed media – and it is. But the media are carefully mixed in the unique, only the artist’s way and each has its specific.
